Roshni Prakash is a promising actress of South Indian cinema, who works in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. She is a native of Karnataka. She marked her screen debut with the Telugu film, Saptagiri Express in 2016, followed by her Kannada debut with Tiger Gaali in 2017 and Tamil debut with Yemaali in 2018. She shot to fame for playing the lead role of Priya in the 2019 Kannada investigative thriller Kavaludaari, opposite Rishi. The film was a major hit across Karnataka.

Roshni Prakash’s real name is Preeti. She was born in 1993 in Mysore. After completing civil engineering, she worked as a construction engineer before foraying into the modelling and acting field. She was one of the finalists of Femina Miss India South 2016, which opened her doors to film field. She got her first film role the same year. She played the female lead opposite comedian Saptagiri in the small-budget film, Saptagiri Express, which was a commercial success. Very soon, she bagged projects from Kannada and Tamil industries as well.
Her debut Tamil film in a supporting role, Yemaali, tanked at the box office. After working in a couple of Kannada films in 2017, she got a major break through Kavaludaari – voted as the best Kannada film of the first half of 2019.
