Ram Avana is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood films and Hindi soaps. He has played many grey-shaded and character roles on the big screen. His roles in Bollywood flicks – Mission Kashmir, Jungle, Zameen, and Ansh are memorable. Jai Shri Krishna, Dwarkadheesh – Bhagwaan Shree Krishn, Balika Vadhu, Sarojini – Ek Nayi Pehal, etc., are some of his major TV roles. Till now he has appeared in more than 200 Hindi TV shows, playing negative roles in many. He is associated with the entertainment field since the late 1990s.

Ram Awana was born in Noida in 1971. After completing his graduation in 1991, he started dreaming about films and acting. Very soon, he enrolled at Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, followed by Bharatendu Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he finished the course with a gold medal in 1994. After that he embarked on a career in association with theatre and worked with Shri Ram Centre repertory during 1996-1998, where he got the chance to work with renowned theatre artists like Habib Tanvir, B. M. Shah, M. K. Raina etc.
Initially he worked in television since the late 1990s, and the 2000 film Jungle marked his Bollywood debut. He played the supporting role of a bandit named Zinda in the movie. Though he appeared in several movies later, this talented actor earned recognition through the different shades he played on the small screen.
