Prawns Coconut Milk Curry (Chemmeen Paal Curry)

Ingredients for Prawns Coconut Milk Curry (Chemmeen Paal Curry):

1. Cleaned prawns – 250 gm

2. Chilli powder – 2 big spoons

    Salt – For taste

    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

3. Coconut oil – 2 big spoons

4. Coconut milk – Extracted from half coconut

5. Pot tamarind – 2 big pieces

6. Green chillies – 4, chopped lengthwise

    Ginger – 1-inch piece

    Shallots – 10, sliced thin

How to prepare Prawns Coconut Milk Curry (Chemmeen Paal Curry)?

1. Marinate prawns using ingredients no: 2 and allow it to rest for a while.

2. Heat an earthen pot and add coconut oil.

3. Add prawns and fry them.

4. Add coconut milk and allow it to boil.

5. Add pot tamarind and mix the contents.

6. Continue cooking till the gravy thickens and a thin layer of oil appears on the surface of the curry.

7. Add ingredients no: 6, boil for a few more minutes and put off the flame.
