Potato Samosa
Ingredients for Potato Samosa:
1. Potato – ½ kg
2. Oil – 2 big spoons
3. Ginger-green chilli paste – 1.5 big spoons
Coriander leaves chopped – 1 cup
4. Coriander powder – 1 big spoon
Fenugreek (optional) – 1 big spoon
Amchoor powder – 1 big spoon
Garam masala powder – 1 big spoon
Salt – For taste
5. Maida – 1.5 cups
Ghee/oil – 4.5 big spoons
Lemon juice – From ½ lemon
Water – As needed
6. Oil – For frying
How to prepare Potato Samosa?
1. Cook potato, remove skin and smash it. You need not smash it too much.
2. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 3.
3. Add smashed potato when water content is fully absorbed.
4. Add ingredients no: 4 and sauté again for a while. Put the flame off.
5. Mix ingredients no: 5 together and knead the dough.
6. Spread the dough to a thin layer and cut puri shapes from it.
7. Cut each puri into two halves and make cone shapes from each.
8. Fill them using potato masala and stick the ends using water.
9. Heat oil and deep fry samosas till they turn crispy.
