Pomfret Curry (Avoli Koottaan)

Ingredients for Pomfret Curry (Avoli Koottaan):

1. Pomfret (Avoli) – ½ kg, cut into pieces

    Green mango – 1 big, cut into square pieces

    Salt – For taste

    Green chillies – 3, cut lengthwise

    Ginger chopped like match stick pieces – 1 small spoon

    Chilli powder – As per needed

2. Onion -1/4, chopped into small pieces

    Coriander powder – 4 small spoons

    Coconut – 1, scrapped

3. Coconut oil – 2 small spoons

    Curry leaves – 2 stems

How to prepare Pomfret Curry (Avoli Koottaan)?

1. Take ingredients no: 1 in an earthen pot and cook adding sufficient water.

2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2.

3. When fish is well cooked, add this gravy and cook for 1 minute in low flame.

4. Put off the flame; add curry leaves and coconut oil.

5. Serve with rice.

Note: You can also use prawns or mackerel for this preparation.
