Peshwari Chicken recipe

Ingredients for Peshwari Chicken:

  1. Chicken – 1 kg
  2. Chilli powder – 1 big spoon
    Coriander powder – 1 small spoonful
    Pepper powder – 1 small spoon
    Cumin – ½ small spoon
    Fennel seeds – ¼ small spoon
    Fenugreek – ¼ small spoon
    Cardamom – 3
    Cloves – 3
    Cinnamon – 2-inch piece
    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
  3. Onions – 2, medium, chopped
    Ginger – 2.5-inch piece
    Green chillies – 6
  4. Curd – ¾ cup
    Salt – For taste
    Lemon juice – 2 small spoons
    Ghee – ¼ cup

How to prepare Peshwari Chicken?

  1. Clean chicken and cut into big pieces.
  2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2, adding water.
  3. Blend ingredients no: 3 using a mixer. Never make a paste.
  4. Mix the masala paste and the onion mixture together and add ingredients no: 4.
  5. Mix well and marinate chicken pieces using this gravy.
  6. Allow it to rest for 2 hours and then cook on a medium flame.
  7. Cook till the gravy thickens, and approximate ¼-1/2 cup of gravy will be left.
  8. Decorate with fried onions.
