Pappadam Thoran

Ingredients for Pappadam Thoran:

1. Coconut oil – As required

2. Pappadam (pappad) – 10 broken into pieces

3. Mustard – ½ small spoon

4. Shallots chopped – ½ cup

5. Red chillies – 4, broken

    Curry leaves – As needed

    Salt – For taste

6. Coconut scrapped – ½ cup

    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

How to prepare Pappadam Thoran?

1. Heat oil in a pan and fry pappadam pieces.

2. In another pan, heat oil and sputter mustards.

3. Sauté shallots, followed by ingredients no: 5.

4. Add coconut and turmeric powder and cook till water content is fully absorbed.

5. Add fried pappadam to it, mix well and put off the flame.

6. Slightly crush pappadam before you serve.
