Orange Coconut Cookies recipe

Ingredients for Orange Coconut Cookies:

1. Butter – 1/3 cup

    Cream pieces softened – 85 gm

    Sugar – ¾ cup

2. Yellow yolk – 1

    Orange juice – 2 small spoons

    Vanilla essence – 1 small spoon

3. Maida – 1.25 cups

    Baking powder – 1.5 small spoons

    Salt – A pinch

4. Desiccated coconut/Coconut placed in oven to remove water content – 3 cups

5. Jam – 1 cup

How to prepare Orange Coconut Cookies?

1. Beat ingredients no: 1 in a bowl till they turn soft.

2. Add ingredients no: 2 to it and mix well.

3. Mix ingredients no: 3 in another bowl, and add the cream mixture little by little.

4. Add 2 cups of desiccated coconut, mix well and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

5. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

6. Take batter from refrigerator and make small balls, taking 1 spoon of batter each.

7. Roll the cookies in the remaining desiccated coconut to get a thin coat.

8. Place them in a baking tray at a 2-inch distance from each.

9. Make a small pit at the centre of each cookie using a finger.

10. Bake your cookies in a pre-heated oven for 8-10 minutes. Cookies should turn light brown.

11. Allow them to cool and fill the pits using a small spoon of jam each, and serve.
