Ney Pongal
Ingredients for Ney Pongal:
1. Raw rice – ¼ kg
Green gram dal fried – 100 gm
2. Ginger – 1 piece, crushed
3. Ghee – As required
4. Pepper – 1 small spoon
Cumin seeds – ¾ small spoon
Salt – As required
5. Cashews – 15
How to prepare Ney Pongal?
1. Fry cumin seeds and pepper in ghee and crush it once in a mixer.
2. Boil water and add rice and dal.
3. Cook it till the contents are well-cooked.
4. Add salt, crushed ginger, cumin and pepper.
5. Mix the contents well and put off the flame.
6. Fry cashews in ghee and add it to Saadam along with ghee.
7. Mix the contents well and serve.
Note: You can add turmeric powder if needed.
