Nariyal Chandrakala

  

 Ingredients for Nariyal Chandrakala:

 
For Flour:
 
1. Vanaspati – 3 big spoons
2. Maida – 1/2kg
    Cardamom powder – One pinch
    Baking soda – One pinch
 
For Filling:
 
3. Scrapped coconut – 1 cup
    Cardamom powder – One pinch
    Cinnamon powder – One pinch
    Sugar – One big spoon
    Cashew nuts crushed – 1 big spoon
    Raisins cut into fine pieces – 1 big spoon
4. Cooking oil – To fry
5. Sugar – To prepare syrup
 

How to prepare Nariyal Chandrakala?

 
1. Melt vanaspati and add ingredients no: 2 to prepare the dough (similar to chapathi or roti). Keep aside for a few minutes.
2. Mix ingredients no: 3 to prepare fillings.
3. Prepare small chappatis (similar to puri) from the dough.
4. Place a little filling on one side of the chapathi and close it with the other side similar to half-moon.
5. Stick together its ends and form a good shape, similar to the image given.
6. Heat oil in a pan, and fry each pieces to golden brown colour in low flame.
7. Dip each Nariyal Chandrakala in thick sugar syrup and take it after a few minutes and serve.
