Nutritious Thoran from flowers and leaves
Ingredients for nutritious leaf-flower thoran:
- Pumpkin leaves chopped – ¼ cup
- Spinach chopped – ¼ cup
- Tazhuthama leaves – ¼ cup
- Muringa leaves – ¼ cup
- Muringa flowers – ¼ cup
- Pumpkin flowers – ¼ cup
- Coconut scrapped – ½
- Kanthari Chillies (Bird’s eye chilli – A small type chilli) – 5
- Curry leaves – 1 stem
- Oil – a small spoon
How to prepare nutritious leaf-flower thoran?
- Mix all leaves and flowers and cook it well adding a little water.
- Blend once scrapped coconut, chillies and curry leaves.
- When leaf-flower mixture is cooked, add crushed coconut mixture to it and mix well.
- Keep it in low flame till whole water content is absorbed. Add a small spoon of oil and put the flame off.
- A nutritious and delicious thoran is ready to serve. It’s a good side dish for cooked rice.
