Mango Mappas (Maanga Mappas)

Ingredients for Mango Mappas (Maanga Mappas):

1. Green mangoes not so sour – 2, cut into small pieces

2. Shallots – 10, chopped

3. Coconut oil – 3 big spoons

4. Mustard – ½ small spoon

    Curry leaves – 2 stalks

5. Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

    Vegetable masala powder – 2 big spoons

6. Coconut scrapped – 1/2

7. Salt – As required

How to prepare Mango Mappas (Maanga Mappas)?

1. Extract 2 cups of 2nd milk and 1 cup of 1st milk from scrapped coconut.

2. Heat oil and sauté mustard and curry leaves.

3. Reduce the flame and add turmeric powder and vegetable masala powder.

4. Sauté it well and add second extract coconut milk and salt.

5. Allow the contents to boil.

6. Add green mangoes, shallots and salt mix it well.

7. Allow the contents to cook. Never overcook it.

8. Add coconut milk 1st extract, mix well and take off from flame.

9. Never allow coconut milk to boil.
