Kadachakka Varutharacha Curry (Bread Fruit with fried Coconut)

Ingredients for Kadachakka Varutharacha Curry (Bread Fruit with fried Coconut):

1. Bread fruit – 1

2. Salt – For taste

    Turmeric powder – A little

3. Coconut oil – 1 big spoon

4. Shallots – 10, chopped

    Garlic – 3 cloves

    Green chillies -3, chopped

5. Fennel seeds – 1 small spoon

    Coconut – ½ scrapped

6. Chilli powder – 2 small spoons

    Coriander powder – 2 small spoons

    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

    Salt – For taste

7. Tomatoes – 2, chopped fine

    Curry leaves – 2 stalks

How to prepare Kadachakka Varutharacha Curry (Bread Fruit with fried Coconut)?

1. Clean bread fruit, remove its skin and stalk and cut into small pieces.

2. Add salt, water and turmeric powder and cook well.

3. Heat oil in a kadai and fry ingredients no: 4.

4. Add fennel seeds and coconut and fry till golden brown.

5. Add ingredients no: 6 and fry again.

6. When a pleasant aroma comes out, take off from the flame.

7. Allow the contents to cool and make a fine paste later.

8. Add this gravy to cooked bread fruit.

9. Also add tomatoes and curry leaves and cook again.

10. When gravy thickens, check salt. Put off the flame.
