Coconut Inflorescence Payasam (Thengin Poonkula Payasam)

Ingredients for Coconut Inflorescence Payasam (Thengin Poonkula Payasam):

1. Coconut inflorescence – 1

    Rice – 1 cup

2. Coconut – 1, grind to a paste adding water

3. Jaggery – 250 gm, melted

    Salt – A pinch

    Cardamom – 5, powdered

4. Ghee – 2 small spoons

    Raisins – 50 gm

    Cashews – 10

How to prepare Coconut Inflorescence Payasam (Thengin Poonkula Payasam)?

Coconut Inflorescence used for the preparation of payasam

1. Make a smooth paste of Coconut inflorescence and raw rice.

2. Heat a pan and add coconut inflorescence paste and ground rice.

3. Add coconut paste and mix the contents well.

4. Add jaggery solution through a strainer into the pan and a pinch of salt.

5. Cook the contents till payasam thickens, and keep stirring.

6. Add cardamom powder and put off the flame.

7. Fry raisins and cashews in ghee and add to your payasam.

8. Mix the contents well and put off the flame.
