Cheera – Chakka Kuru Avial (Spinach – Jack Seed Avial)
Ingredients for Cheera – Chakka Kuru Avial (Spinach – Jack Seed Avial):
1. Spinach chopped fine – ½ kg
2. Jack seed – 6
3. Snake gourd – 25 gm
4. Cucumber – 25 gm
5. Green mango chopped lengthwise – ¼ cup
6. Salt and turmeric powder – As needed
7. Coconut scrapped – 2 cups
Cumin seeds – ¼ small spoon
Shallots – 3
Chilli powder – 1 small spoon
8. Coconut oil – 1 big spoon
How to prepare Cheera – Chakka Kuru Avial (Spinach – Jack Seed Avial)?
1. Wash spinach and chop into fine pieces.
2. Cut snake gourd and cucumber into 1-inch pieces.
3. Clean jack seeds and split each one into 6 parts.
4. Add all these ingredients to a pressure cooker along with sufficient water, salt and turmeric powder and cook it well.
5. Blend once in a mixer, ingredients no: 7and mix it well with cooked vegetables.
6. Boil it well, and pour coconut oil on its top.
7. Put off the flame.
