Capsicum Thoran
Ingredients for Capsicum Thoran:
- Capsicum cut into small pieces – 1
- Onion finely chopped – 1
- Green chilli finely chopped – 1
- Black pepper – a small tsp
- Sugar – ¼ tsp
- Salt – as per taste
- Scrapped coconut – ½ cup
- Mustard – ¼ tsp
- Dry red chilli – 1
- Curry leaves – 2 stem
- Oil – ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves – to garnish
How to prepare Capsicum Thoran?
- Heat a non-stick pan and add oil. Sauté onion and green chillies together.
- When it becomes brown add capsicum, coconut and salt. Mix it well and close the lid to cook the contents in low flame.
- Heat oil in another pan and sputter mustard seeds. Add red chilli and curry leaves and mix well.
- Pour this oil to cooked capsicum and sprinkle sugar and pepper powder on top.
- Then mix the contents well and close the lid. Cook for 2 more minutes and add chopped coriander leaves to serve.
