Mutton Keema Ball Biryani

Ingredients for Mutton Keema Ball Biryani:

For Keema Ball:

1. Mutton Keema – 1 cup

    Bengal gram – 2 big spoons

    Coriander leaves and Mint leaves chopped – 2 big spoons

    Chilli powder – ¼ small spoon

    Salt – As required

   Onions – 1, chopped fine

   Green chillies – 2, chopped

   Ginger-garlic paste – 1 big spoon

2. Coconut oil – For frying

For Rice:

3. Oil – As required

4. Cinnamon – 4 pieces

    Cloves – 4

    Cardamom – 4

5. Kasuri methi – 1 small spoon

    Ginger-garlic paste – 2 big spoons

6. Onions – 2, chopped

7. Tomato paste – ½ cup

    Green chillies – 4, chopped

    Curd – 2 big spoons

    Lemon juice – 1 small spoon

8. Red chilli powder – 1 big spoon

    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

     Garam masala powder – ½ small spoon

9. Basmati rice – ½ kg

10. Salt – As required

     Water – Double quantity of rice

11. Ghee – 1 big spoon

12. Coriander leaves – To decorate

How to prepare Mutton Keema Ball Biryani?

1. Soak ½ kg rice and keep it aside.

2. To prepare keema balls, make a fine paste of ingredients no: 1 using a mixer.

3. Make small balls from them and deep fry in hot oil.

4. Keema balls should be golden brown.

5. Heat oil in a pan and sauté ingredients no: 4.

6. Add kasuri methi and ginger-garlic paste and sauté again.

7. Add onions followed by ingredients no: 7 and sauté well in that order.

8. When tomatoes are well cooked, add ingredients no: 8 and mix well.

9. Add soaked rice, salt and water and cook with lid closed.

10. When rice is half done, add ghee on its top and dum the biryani.

11. Serve biryani with keema balls and salad.

12. Decorate with coriander leaves.
