Malika Haydon hails from Chennai. She was born on October 19, 1988, into a traditional family in Tamil Nadu. Her father, Venkat, is a Malayali Indian, and her mother, Anna Haydon, is an Australian. Her father is a life coach and deconstructs HR departments, and her mom is a housewife. Her younger sister, Lisa Haydon, is a well-known model and Bollywood actress.

Her mother is an Australian who came to India to work with Mother Teresa. Malika is the eldest of eight siblings. One of her brothers lives in Australia, while the rest of her family is settled in Chennai. One of her brothers is a chef, two sisters run their ballet school, and one sister is a DJ. Malika, too, is a DJ by profession. She belongs to a creative and open-minded family.
