
Ingredients for Lobster Roast:
- Lobster (Big-sized prawns) – 6
- Chilli powder – 2 small spoons
Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon
Pepper powder – 1/2 small spoon
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 small spoon
Salt – For taste - Coconut oil – ½ cup
- Onions – 4 big, chopped fine
- Ginger – 1-inch piece, chopped fine
Garlic – 5 or 6 cloves, chopped fine
Green chillies – 4, split into two - Chilli powder – 4 small spoons
Pepper powder – 1 small spoon
Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon - Curry leaves – 2 or 3 stems
- Tomato – 2, chopped fine
- Salt – For taste
How to prepare Lobster Roast?
- Make a masala paste using ingredients no: 2, adding sufficient water.
- Clean lobsters and make a deep cut towards the tail portion.
- Gently take the meat portion outside. Take extra care so that the tail portion won’t break.
- Marinate the lobsters and put the meat portion back inside the shell.
- Allow it to rest for a minimum of 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated lobsters.
- Flip both sides and fry well. They should turn red.
- Transfer the fried lobsters to a plate.
- Heat the oil and sauté onions.
- When onions turn golden brown, add ingredients no: 5 and sauté again.
- Add the powders along with half the quantity of curry leaves and sauté again.
- When the masala is fried well, add chopped tomato.
- When it turns soft, add salt and mix well.
- Add fried lobsters to it and stir the contents.
- Cook till lobsters get a good coat of gravy and turn soft.
- Add the remaining curry leaves and coconut oil and turn off the flame.
