Lobster Roast

Ingredients for Lobster Roast:

1. Lobster (Big sized prawns) – 6

2. Chilli powder – 2 small spoons

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon

    Pepper powder – 1/2 small spoon

    Ginger-garlic paste – 1 small spoon

    Salt – For taste

3. Coconut oil – ½ cup

4. Onions – 4 big, chopped fine

5. Ginger – 1-inch piece, chopped fine

    Garlic – 5 or 6 cloves, chopped fine

    Green chillies – 4, split into two

6. Chilli powder – 4 small spoons

    Pepper powder – 1 small spoon

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon

7. Curry leaves – 2 or 3 stems

8. Tomato – 2, chopped fine

9. Salt – For taste

How to prepare Lobster Roast?

1. Make a masala paste using ingredients no: 2 adding sufficient water.

2. Clean lobsters and make a deep cut towards tail portion.

3. Gently take the meat portion outside. Take extra care so that tail portion won’t break.

4. Marinate the lobsters and put the meat portion back inside shell.

5. Allow it to rest for minimum 20 minutes.

6. Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated lobsters.

7. Flip both sides and fry well. They should turn red colour.

8. Transfer the fried lobsters to a plate.

9. Heat oil and sauté onions.

10. When onions turn golden brown, add ingredients no: 5 and sauté again.

11. Add the powders along with half quantity of curry leaves and sauté again.

12. When masala is fried well, add chopped tomato.

13. When it turns soft, add salt and mix well.

14. Add fried lobsters to it and stir the contents.

15. Cook till lobsters get a good coat of gravy and turns soft.

16. Add remaining curry leaves and coconut oil and put off the flame.
