Trivia: The movie April 18 marked the Malayalam debut of Mollywood’s popular actress, Shobana. She marked her screen debut through a couple of Tamil movies in the year 1980 in a child role, Mangala Nayagi and Manmatha Ragangal. She reprised Padmini Kolhapure’s child role of Saajan Bina Suhagan, when it was remade in Tamil as Mangala Nayagi – her screen debut. April 18 was her first adult role, that too as a female protagonist.
