Dates Payasam

 

Ingredients for Dates Payasam:

  1. Dates – 200 gm
  2. Jaggery – 400 gm
  3. Coconut milk – 1 cpconut
  4. Cashew nuts – 10
  5. Ghee – as needed

How to prepare Dates Payasam?

  1. Remove seeds from dates and add water. Cook it well.
  2. Then grind it well using a mixer.
  3. Heat jaggery and drain its impurities and keep aside.
  4. Heat ghee in pan (uruli) and fry cashew nuts. Drain it out and in the remaining ghee add dates and jaggery. Saute it well.
  5. Add second milk to it and cook well. When it’s almost dry put the flame off.
  6. Add first milk and stir well. Add coconut milk as well.
  7. Serve hot.
