Chicken Pie with celery

Ingredients for Chicken Pie:

1. Chicken breast – Two

    Celery leaf – A little

    Garlic – Four cloves, crushed with skin

    Green chilli – Two, chopped

    Salt, water – As needed

2. Butter – One tablespoon

3. Crushed garlic – One tablespoon

4. Onion – One, chopped

5. Crushed red chilli – One tablespoon

6. Chopped celery – One tablespoon

    Chopped spring onion – Two tablespoons

7. All-purpose flour – Three tablespoons

8. Butter – Two tablespoons

9. Warm milk – Two cups

    Cheese – One cup

10. Salt, pepper powder – To taste

11. Grated cheese – 1/4 cup

12. Fried noodles – For garnishing

How to prepare Chicken Pie?

1. Boil chicken breast, celery leaves, garlic and green chilli with salt and water (ingredients set no: 1). Remove only the chicken breast from it and chop it finely.

2. Heat butter in a pan and sauté garlic, then add onion and sauté.

3. Add chopped chicken breast and crushed red chilli and mix well.

4. Add chopped celery and spring onion, mix and keep aside.

5. In another pan, keep the flame low and add all-purpose flour. Sauté it, then add butter and mix. Add milk and cheese, and stir well until it boils and turns a thick consistency.

6. When it thickens, remove from the flame and add salt and pepper powder. This is the sauce used for Chicken Pie.

7. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

8. Pour half of the sauce into a glass baking dish and spread the chicken mixture over it.

9. Pour the remaining sauce on top and grate cheese on top as a layer.

10. Bake the chicken pie in the preheated oven until the cheese melts, and turns golden colour.

11. Just before serving, if needed, sprinkle fried noodles on top of the pie. It adds a crisp topping to your pie.
