Chemmeen Mori Prawn Snack

Ingredients for Chemmeen Mori (Prawn Snack):

1. Cleaned and deveined prawns – ¼ kg 

2. Salt – As required 

    Turmeric powder – ¾ tsp 

    Chilli powder – 2 tsp 

    Lemon juice – From 1 lemon 

3. Besan (Bengal gram flour) – 2 cups 

    Water – As required 

4. Salt – As required 

    Chilli powder – 3 tsp 

    Lemon juice – From 1 lemon 

    Besan (Bengal gram flour) – 2 cups 

    Water – As required 

    Salt – As required 

    Chilli powder – 3 tsp 

    Asafoetida powder – ½ tsp 

    Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp 

5. Coconut oil – As required for frying

How to prepare Chemmeen Mori (Prawn Snack)?

1. Apply the second set of ingredients to the prawns and refrigerate for 2 hours. 

2. Mix water with the besan to form a smooth batter without lumps, then add the fourth set of ingredients and combine well. 

3. Take four to five marinated prawns at a time in a big ladle together, pour a little batter over, stir to coat, and deep fry together in hot oil until crispy.
