Arun Bhairav – Less-known Bollywood lyricist known for his association with Salman Khan films

Arun Bhairav is a poet and film lyricist associated with Bollywood. Lyrics of very popular ‘Lal Dupatta’ were penned by Arun Bhairav. Priyanka Chopra was featured in this song sequence aside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, and the movie was a super hit.  Though a few he has written lyrics for some of Salman Khan songs in the recent past, for movies such as Wanted, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna etc. He has also penned lyrics for Bipasha Basu – Sanjay Dutt starrer Rudraksh and also Bachelor Party.

‘Lal Dupatta’ – One among the popular songs of Arun Bhairav

The song – ‘Lal Dupatta’ also grabbed attention for the catchy lyrics written by Arun Bhairav, not a heard name in Bollywood. Yet the lyricist didn’t get more opportunities from Bollywood, except for a few songs of Salman Khan. This song was filmed on Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan as a dream sequence. It’s the single song of Arun in the album, and the most popular romantic track too. Similar to Salman Khan starrer Wanted, another lyricist Jalees Sherwani penned some of the popular songs for this movie too.

A few more songs of Arun Bhairav include – “Ishk Khudayi Rab Ne Banayi” and “Ishk Hai Nasha Nasha” of Rudraksh, “Mere Gali Mein Tera Aana” of Market, “Dil Leke” of Wanted, “Tum Ne Socha Socha Yeh Kaise” of Main Aurr Mrs Khanna etc. He has penned lyrics for more than 50 Bollywood songs. Dukaan: Pila House, Harrjaiie, Dil Ke Tukde Hazaar Huye etc are a few more movies for which he penned lyrics. Arun Bhairav is also a film producer.

Author’s note: While searching for the lyricist’s picture, I got the particular one posted above. But I am not 100% sure if it is the correct image. Excuses.
