Almond Kheer

Ingredients for Almond Kheer (Badam Kheer):

1. Almond – ½ cup

2. Cream milk – 1 litre

3. Saffron – 15

4. Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

5. Sugar – ½ cup

6. Almonds, pista broken – 1 tablespoon

How to prepare Almond Kheer (Badam Kheer)?

1. Soak almonds in water for 5 or 6 hours.

2. Later, remove the skin and make a fine paste.

3. If needed, you can add a little milk while grinding.

4. Heat milk in a pan, and add saffron.

5. Boil the contents well.

6. Continue cooking till the milk content reduces to half.

7. Stir occasionally.

8. Later add almond paste, and continue cooking till the kheer turns thick.

9. Add cardamom powder and sugar.

10. Boil the payasam on a low flame for 5-8 minutes.

11. Decorate your almond kheer with pistachios and almonds.
