Abhijit Vaghani – Music producer and King of remixes for Bollywood singles since 2005

Abhijit Vaghani is a very successful music producer and composer associated with Bollywood music since 2005. He started off scoring background music for Bollywood music with Chocolate in 2005 and has successfully completed 50 films. Since 2006 he also produces and remixes singles for filmy albums and the title track of Golmaal: Fun Unlimited marked his debut in this field. He has successfully remixed hit tracks for many Bollywood movies in a career spanning to 15 years. Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Ki and Ka, Airlift, Dishoom, Azar etc are some of the movies for which he produced music in the recent past. As a music composer, “Duniyaa” of Lukka Chuppi got noticed. He has also released a few singles.

Abhijit Vaghani hails from Mumbai and was born into a Gujarati family. He holds a diploma in Sound Engineering from the School of Audio Engineering, London. He joined Bollywood in 2005 as a sound engineer and background scorer. Jab We Met, Sunday, A Wednesday, Golmaal Returns, I Hate Luv Storys, Band Baaja Baaraat, Race 2, Kai Po Che, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Ra. One, Love Aaj Kal, Wanted, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Hunterr, Fan, Brothers etc are some of his best background scores. He also remixed singles for many of these films. Chammak Chalo of Ra.One, Badnaamiyan of Hate Story 4, Dum Maaro Dum (Remix – Title track), Pareshaan of Ishaqzaade, Title track of Kaabil, Dhan Te Nan  of Kaminey, Teri Fariyaad of Tum Bin 2, De Di of Airlift, Wajah Tum Ho for Hate Story 3, Teri Jhuki Nazar of Murder 3 etc are among those works.

1. He married a Pakistani Muslim lady and got converted from Hinduism to Islam.

2. He composed sound tracks for Bollywood films – Amavas, Wajah Tum Ho, Hindi Medium, Lukka Chuppi etc. Tere Bin Laden in 2010 was his debut work as a music director.

3. Singer Arjit Singh accused him of retuning his voice beyond recognition for the song – Wajah Tum Ho. Later they sorted out differences.

4. He is inspired with the works of R. D. Burman, A. R. Rahman and Bappi Lahiri.

5. In 2012 he received a nomination at the Global Indian Music Academy Awards for the Best Music Programmer and Arranger for Ra.One.
