Saanve Megghana – South Indian film actress of ‘Pitta Kathalu’ and ‘Kudumbasthan’ fame
Saanve Megghana is a South Indian film actress who works in Telugu and Tamil cinema. Shemarked her acting debut with Netflix Telugu anthology film Pitta Kathalu (2021) and got recognition for her debut work. She later appeared in Telugu films – Pushpaka Vimanam (2021) and Prema Vimanam (2023). In 2025, she made an impressive debut in Tamil in a lead role through Kudumbasthan. The movie was a commercial hit.
Saanve Megghana got into acting while at college
Saanve was born on September 12, 1997 into a business family in Hyderabad, Telangana. Vamshi Kishore and Padma Mandumula are her parents. Her brother, Vamsi Pujit, who is also an aspiring actor. He is 3 years older than her and is an aspiring writer, filmmaker and an actor, who is currently into short film making. She developed an interest in acting during her graduation days and decided to pursue it as a career.
She was the second runner up for the title of Miss Francis. Saanve was part of a college dance group called Danceversity and she was the cultural head. During her college days, she already started her professional life and at one point, she had to write two semesters comprising 12 subjects at one go.
A shoot happening at her college St. Francis and for mandatory attendance she had to assist the team, being part of Social service. She was offered an acting role, while she replied, she could dance. She gave her mother’s number to the team, and her mother got a call from Jayasudha asking if Saanve can act in a sitcom. Megghana was offered the lead role in the show produced by Jayasudha. Saanve auditioned the next day and it was her first ever acting experience. Her number was circulated and she started getting more roles from entertainment industry.
An anthology drama film, Pitta Kathalu marked her big screen debut
Saanve Megghana appeared in the segment titled Ramula in the Telugu anthology film Pitta Kathalu. This segment was directed by Tharun Bhascker. This character is very close to her heart. Same year she made a cameo appearance as Harsha’s Prospective Bride in Most Eligible Bachelor. After that she got two Telugu films back to back – Pushpaka Vimanam (2021) and Prema Vimanam (2023). She played the lead opposite Anand Deverakonda in ‘Pushpakavimanam.’
Impressive debut in Tamil through Kudumbasthan
She played K. Manikandan’s wife in Rajeshwar Kalisamy’s directorial debut Kudumbasthan in 2025. The movie opened to praises and it became one of the biggest grossers of the year. After the movie’s great success, she is immensely popular among Tamil audience too. She has a great future ahead in both Tamil and Telugu cinema.
Saanve Megghana – Some interesting and less-known facts
1. An art lover, she learnt calligraphy with a knowledge of 16 styles, fabric painting and attended dance workshops.
