Paal Dabba – Tamil rapper with hits like Kaathu Mela and Makkamishi to his credit

Anish, better known by the stage name Paal Dabba is a Tamil rapper, singer, songwriter and choreographer, based in Chennai. 170CM, Ai, OCB – One Costly Bandana and Kaathu Mela are his popular songs. Kaathu Mela was quite popular in reel making. He has also done playback singing in Tamil films like Dhruva Natchathiram, Brother, Let’s Get Married etc. Makkamishi from “Brother” and Galatta from Malayalam movie “Aavesham” are his popular film songs. Many of his songs have been listed in top chartbusters of the year 2024.

Anish was born in Pulianthope, Tamil Nadu. Later he shifted to Vyasarpadi, where his career as a singer and artist flourished. Though he started learning dancing during school days, he was reluctant to learn it and hence stopped it. He started once again when he began watching reality shows.

He joined Bfab dance group, and participated in various reality shows. His group won Breezer Vivid Shuffle 2019. Though he began his artistic journey as a dancer, he later discovered his passion for writing, performing, and releasing songs. Later, he ventured into rapping and adapted the stage name “Paal Dabba”.

Anish’s professional career started in 2022

He released his first single “3SHA” in 2022, while he was a part of Bfab dance crew. The song got noticed. Next year he made his debut into playback singing through the song “His Name Is John” for Vikram starrer Dhruva Natchathiram. The movie is yet to release. His songs like “170CM“, “Galatta”, “Kaathu Mela”, “Makkamishi” etc are instant chartbusters. Many times, his songs have been used as promo songs for films too. There were rumours he might join Bigg Boss Tamil 8.

1. Anish started off as a dancer which led him to the world of music and later he pursued his music journey.

4. In year 2024, he had 5 hit songs which include film songs too.
