Chinese Potato – Prawn Ularth (Koorkka – Chemmeen Ularth)
Ingredients for Chinese Potato – Prawn Ularth (Koorkka – Chemmeen Ularth):
1. Cleaned prawns – 250 gm
Chinese potato (Koorkka) chopped into pieces – 500 gm
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
Salt – For taste
2. Coconut oil – 2 big spoons
3. Shallots – 15, crushed
Garlic – 4 cloves, chopped
Crushed chillies – 1 big spoon
Curry leaves – 1 stem
How to prepare Chinese Potato – Prawn Ularth (Koorkka – Chemmeen Ularth)?
1. Cook ingredients no: 1 in an earthen pot adding sufficient water.
2. Cook until prawns are well cooked and water content is fully absorbed.
3. Heat oil in a pan and sauté ingredients no: 3.
4. When the contents turn light brown, add cooked Prawns – Chinese potato mixture to it.
5. Mix the contents well and cook for a few more minutes until water is fully absorbed and Prawns – Chinese potato mixture get a masala coat.
