Boondi Payasam

Ingredients for Boondi Payasam:

1. Sweet boondi – 250 gm

2. Milk – 1 litre

3. Almonds – 6 nos.

4. Saffron – A little

5. Sugar – 2 tablespoons

6. Almonds and pista broken – A little

How to prepare Boondi Payasam?

1. Boil milk in a thick bottomed pan.

2. Continue boiling till milk reduces to half in volume.

3. Make a powder of almonds and saffron.

4. Later add this powder along with sugar to milk, and bring to boil.

5. Cook boondi in this solution for 5 minutes.

6. Take off the flame and sprinkle almonds and pista on its top.

Boondi Payasam (Recipe 2)

Ingredients for Boondi Payasam (Recipe 2):

1. Gram flour – 1 cup

    Yellow colour – A pinch (optional)

2. Oil – 250 milli

3. Milk – 2.5 cups

   Sugar – 1 cup

   Saffron – A pinch

How to prepare Boondi Payasam (Recipe 2)?

1. Add water to gram flour and prepare batter for boondi. You can add colour too.

2. Heat oil in a pan, and pour batter through a perforated spoon.

3. Fry and take them before they change colour.

4. Mix milk, saffron and sugar in a thick-bottomed pan, and boil it till it thickens.

5. Add boondi, mix well and put off the flame.
