Zaheer Iqbal – Bollywood actor of ‘Notebook’ fame
Zaheer Iqbal is a newcomer actor of Bollywood. In 2019 he marked his screen debut with romantic film, Notebook, produced by Salman Khan. He was paired with Pranutan Bahl, daughter of Mohnish Bahl and granddaughter of legendary actress Nutan for his debut flick. The film disappointed critics and audience alike and received only mixed reviews. Notebook was a box office failure.
Zaheer Iqbal was born on 10th December 1988 in Mumbai. He belongs to a rich family of jewellers in Mumbai, and has one brother and sister. His father is a childhood friend of actor Salman Khan, and hence Zaheer has got opportunity to visit Salman’s film sets during childhood. Thus he got attracted to the field of acting. Salman used to call him ‘Hero’ during his childhood days, and has seen him performing on stage during cultural events at school.
He was spotted by Salman Khan in the Sangeet ceremony of his sister’s wedding. Salman khan got impressed by his dancing skills and decided to launch him in Bollywood. As promised, Salman Khan launched him through his home production in 2019 film, Notebook. He has earlier worked as an assistant director of Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho in 2014.

1. His full name is Zaheer Iqbal Ratansi.
2. His father Iqbal Ratansi and actor Salman Khan are good friends since childhood.
3. In 2019 Notebook launched the careers of Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Behl in Bollywood.
4. His elder sister Sanam Ratansi is a celebrity stylist.
5. It was rumoured that he dated Bollywood actresses Sonakshi Sinha, Sana Saeed and Deeksha Seth.
6. To pursue a career in acting, he spent past 6 years in gymnastics, apart from learning different dance forms. Salman Khan acted as his mentor.
7. He is a fitness freak, and loves marathon running, cycling and swimming. Travelling and reading are other hobbies.
8. He loves to spend time with kids. Interestingly he played the role of a school teacher in his debut flick.
9. He is a classmate of Arpita Khan, Salman’s sister.
