Ingredients for Apple Payasam with Jaggery:
- Ghee – 5 big spoons
- Cashews and raisins – As required
- Finely chopped Apple (after removing skin)– 1 kg
- Jaggery melted – One, big-sized
- Sago cooked – 2 handfuls
- Coconut milk – From one coconut
- Cardamom powder – As required
How to prepare Apple Payasam with Jaggery?
- Fry cashews and raisins in 2 tablespoons of ghee and keep aside.
- Heat the remaining ghee in a pan, and cook the apple on medium flame for a few minutes.
- Add jaggery to it and allow it to boil.
- Add sago and coconut milk, and cook it for a few minutes till the contents thicken.
- Add ghee along with roasted cashews and raisins, and turn the flame off. Add cardamom powder.
- Serve once the payasam cools.
