Shashi Ranjan – Hindi film and television actor

Shashi Ranjan is an accomplished theatre personality and stage actor from Bihar, who appears in Hindi movies and TV shows. As a television actor, he gained recognition through crime series like Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India. Tumhari Salu, The Legend of Michael Mishra, Dreamgirl etc are some of his popular film roles. He has been featured in more than 80 Tv ads also. He has also written plays and directed them.

Shashi Ranjan was born in Sitamarhi in 1987. Since young he was drawn towards the world of acting, and he started his career as a stage actor during his childhoods in the town of Madhubani, where his father worked as a clerk in the district collectorate office. To pursue a career in the field of acting and theatre, he moved to New Delhi, where he worked for a few years. He has acted in the plays of Mohan Maharishi, Prem Matiyani, Satish Anand, Rudradeep Chakraborty, Avtar Sahni, K.S. Rajendran and many other artists, before he moved to Mumbai in search of big opportunities.

Initially he appeared in ads, and it gave him break to TV shows and movies. Yet it took a few years of struggle to establish in the industry. As a film actor, his roles got noticed in Tumhari Salu, The Legend of Michael Mishra etc. He also appeared in some low-budget movies during his struggling days.
