Potato – Green Peas Curry
Ingredients for Potato – Green Peas Curry:
1. Potato – ½ kg
2. Green peas – ½ kg
3. Onions – 1
Garlic – 4 cloves
Ginger – 1-inch piece
Red chillies – 3
Cloves – 3
Cinnamon – 2 pieces
Cardamom – 3
Couscous – 1 big spoon
4. Oil – 5-6 big spoons
5. Tomato – 2
6. Salt – As needed
Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon
7. Coriander leaves chopped – To decorate
How to prepare Potato – Green Peas Curry?
1. Immerse tomatoes in hot water and then put in cold water, and remove skin.
2. Make a fine paste of tomatoes.
3. Boil potatoes, remove skin and cut into small square pieces.
4. Cook green peas and strain excess water.
5. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 3 adding a little water.
6. Heat oil and sauté this masala paste.
7. Add tomato paste and cook in low flame for a few minutes.
8. When the gravy boils, and a thin layer of oil forms on the surface, add green peas, potatoes, turmeric powder and sufficient salt.
9. Reduce the flame and cook for 5 more minutes.
10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
