Paneer Thoran

Ingredients for Paneer Thoran:

1. Oil – 1.5 big spoons

2. Cumin seeds – ¾ small spoon

3. Ginger chopped fine – 1.5 big spoons

    Green chillies – 3 big, chopped fine

4. Onions – 2 medium sized, chopped fine

5. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

    Coriander leaves chopped fine – ½ cup

    Salt – For taste

    Pepper powder – ½ small spoon

    Green peas cooked – 1 cup

6. Paneer – ½ kg, grated

7. Coconut scrapped – ½ cup, crushed

How to prepare Paneer Thoran?

1. Heat oil in a pan and fry cumin seeds.

2. Add ginger and green chillies and fry the contents.

3. When the colour of ginger and chillies changes, add onions.

4. Sauté onions till they turn golden brown.

5. Add ingredients no: 5 and sauté again.

6. Add paneer and keep sauting.

7. Finally add scrapped coconut, mix the contents well and put off the flame.
