Paneer Rice

Ingredients for Paneer Rice:

1. Basmati rice – 1 cup

2. Ghee – 2 big spoons

    Paneer – 250 gms cut into square pieces

3. Cloves – 4

    Bay leaves (Vayana Ila) – 2

    Cardamom – 5

    Cinnamon – 1.5 inch piece

4. Green peas – 2 cups

    Raisins – 2 big spoons

5. Salt – For taste

    Sugar – 1 small spoon

    Water – 2 cups

6. Coriander leaves – 2 big spoons, chopped

How to prepare Paneer Rice?

1. Wash rice and soak in in water for 1 hour.

2. Heat 2 big spoons of ghee and fry paneer pieces.

3. Remove paneer pieces and fry ingredients no: 3.

4. Drain water from rice and add to fried spices.

5. Fry for 2-3 minutes.

6. Add green peas and raisins and saute for 2 more minutes.

7. Add salt, sugar, water and boil the contents in low flame.

8. Cook till rice is well-cooked and water content is fully absorbed.

9. Add fried paneer pieces and cook for 5 more minutes.

10. Add chopped coriander leaves and put off the flame.
