Orange Cake Custard
Ingredients for Orange Cake Custard:
1. Sponge cake – 9-inch size
2. Orange juice – 1 cup
3. Milk – Two cups
4. Yellow Yolk – From 3 eggs
Sugar – Quarter cup
Salt – A Pinch
5. White Yolk – From 3 eggs
Icing sugar – 6 big spoons
How to prepare Orange Cake Custard?
1. Preheat oven 300 Fahrenheit.
2. Cut cake into 1-inch square pieces.
3. Grease a casserole and spread these cake pieces.
4. Pour orange juice on its top.
5. Heat milk by placing it over boiling water.
6. Beat yellow yolk adding sugar and salt. Slowly add heated milk to it.
7. Place this mixture on the top of boiling water and keep stirring.
8. Continue cooking till it turns custard. It should stick on to back side of spoon.
9. Pour this custard on the top of cake.
10. Beat egg white adding icing sugar little by little.
11. When it thickens, pour it on the top of cake mixture and spread it.
12. Bake it in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
13. When the top portion turns brown, take it out.
