Ingredients for Nutritious Leaf – Flower Thoran:
- Pumpkin leaves chopped – ¼ cup
- Spinach chopped – ¼ cup
- Tazhuthama leaves – ¼ cup
- Muringa leaves – ¼ cup
- Muringa flowers – ¼ cup
- Pumpkin flowers – ¼ cup
- Coconut scraped – ½
- Kanthari Chillies (Bird’s eye chilli – A small type of chilli) – 5
- Curry leaves – 1 stem
- Oil – a small spoon
How to prepare Nutritious Leaf – Flower Thoran?
- Mix all leaves and flowers and cook them well, adding a little water.
- Blend once, the scraped coconut, chillies, and curry leaves.
- When the leaf-flower mixture is cooked, add the crushed coconut mixture to it and mix well.
- Keep it on a low flame until the whole water content is absorbed. Add a small spoon of oil and turn the flame off.
- A nutritious and delicious thoran is ready to serve. It’s a good side dish for cooked rice.
