Leaf - Flower Thoran recipe

Ingredients for Nutritious Leaf – Flower Thoran:

  1. Pumpkin leaves chopped – ¼ cup
  2. Spinach chopped – ¼ cup
  3. Tazhuthama leaves – ¼ cup
  4. Muringa leaves – ¼ cup
  5. Muringa flowers – ¼ cup
  6. Pumpkin flowers – ¼ cup
  7. Coconut scraped – ½
  8. Kanthari Chillies (Bird’s eye chilli – A small type of chilli) – 5
  9. Curry leaves – 1 stem
  10. Oil – a small spoon

How to prepare Nutritious Leaf – Flower Thoran?

  1. Mix all leaves and flowers and cook them well, adding a little water.
  2. Blend once, the scraped coconut, chillies, and curry leaves.
  3. When the leaf-flower mixture is cooked, add the crushed coconut mixture to it and mix well.
  4. Keep it on a low flame until the whole water content is absorbed. Add a small spoon of oil and turn the flame off.
  5. A nutritious and delicious thoran is ready to serve. It’s a good side dish for cooked rice.
