Slim in Sari – A few tips to drape a sari

It’s widely believed that sari is the sexiest dress for a woman. Why not! A woman looks extremely beautiful in sari. If you take care of a few simple tips, you can hide your actual weight and age and make you feel elegant and beautiful. Sari material, colour and how you wear it – these factors give significant role in sari appeal. Have a look at these simple tips.

1. Take extra care to drape a sari and take enough time. Careless drape with uneven folding here and there can kill the whole beauty of sari. It also makes you appear aged and fat. Wear sari neat.

2. It’s a common habit among ladies to pin together the pleats at the upper end. Avoid it and allow pleats to spread on your stomach. If so, belly won’t budge too much and you can hide your fat belly from others.

3. Material is very important. Georgette, crape and chiffon stick on to your body and are best suited for those who want to appear slim. These materials are light in weight too. If you want cotton stuff, soft cotton is the best option. Cotton silk and Mysore silk are light in weight and give a slim appeal. They can be draped in good shape too.

4. Give a little bit length to blouse’s arms while stitching. It gives a slim appeal. It’s always a better choice to choose thin designs, prints and borders for saris and blouses if you are not too slim.

5. Choosing the right colour can also give you slim look and elegance as well. If so, dark shades such as purple and black can be tried.

6. If you are a fat person with less height, never choose saris with thick borders. Saris with simple and thin designs are best suited for your wardrobe.
