Pradeep Chandran – Malayalam actor of ‘Karuthamuthu’ fame

Pradeep Chandran is a Malayalam actor best known for portraying supporting roles in films and TV soaps. He gained recognition through the longest running Malayalam series, ‘Karuthamuthu’, where he was paired with Rini. Geetanjali, Evidam Swargamanu, Naku Penta Naku Taka, Oppam, Kurukshetra, Drishyam, Lokpal, Angel John, Kandahar etc are some of the Malayalam movies in which he played brief roles. He made his television debut in 2010 through Kunjali Marakkar, and bagged Asianet Television Awards for Best Debut Actor for the same series.

Pradeep Chandran hails from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He was born in 1981. His father worked in police department. Since young he used to appear in stage plays, and his artistic talents were well promoted by his mother. After completing his Master’s in Business Administration, he worked in an insurance company of Bangalore for a while before marking his screen debut with Major Ravi’s Mission 90 Days in 2007. Later he became a permanent fixture of Ravi’s patriotic films, mostly sharing screen space with Mohanlal.

Pradeep Chandran – Some interesting and less-known facts

1. He played the role of the new sub-inspector of the newly inaugurated police station of Dhrishyam.  

2. He runs an automated car hub inside Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram.

3. He shared screen space with Mohanlal in many of his films in the recent past – Geetanjali, Evidam Swargamanu, Oppam, Kurukshetra, Drishyam, Lokpal, Loham, Angel John, 1971: ‘Beyond Borders’, Kandahar etc being a few instances.

4. The star cast of Karuthamuthu TV series holds a huge following for their lip-sync videos and many of their videos have gone viral. Pradeep has been a part of a few.

5. He is still unmarried.
