Mushroom Rice in Palak Rolls

Ingredients for Mushroom Rice in Palak Rolls:

1. Water – 1.5 cups

2. Basmati rice – 1 cup, soaked

    Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom – 3 each

    Frozen green peas – ½ cup

3. Mushroom – 150 gm

4. Butter – 2 big spoons

5. Salt and pepper powder – As needed

6. Ghee / Butter– 3 big spoons

7. Onion chopped fine – 5 big spoons

    Garlic – 5 cloves, chopped fine

    Green chillies – 4, chopped fine

8. Cabbage chopped fine – 4 big spoons

    Capsicum chopped fine – 2 big spoons

9. Palak leaves dipped in hot water, then in cold water and ground to a smooth paste – ½ cup

    Salt – For taste

    Butter melted – 2 small spoons

    Wheat flour – 1.5 cups

    Warm water – As needed

How to prepare Mushroom Rice in Palak Rolls?

1. To prepare mushroom rice, boil water and add rice, along with spices and frozen green peas.

2. Cook rice until it’s well-cooked, and the water content is fully absorbed.

3. Cut mushrooms into two halves and marinate with salt and pepper.

4. Sauté these mushrooms in butter.

5. Heat oil/butter in a pan and sauté ingredients no: 7. Also add a little salt.

6. Add ingredients no: 8, and sauté again.

7. Finally add sauted mushrooms, followed by cooked rice and toss the contents.

8. Prepare chapati dough using ingredients no: 9, adding sufficient warm water.

9. Make small balls from it and spread them into thin chapatis. Prepare chapatis.

10. Place 5 or 6 big spoons of mushroom rice inside each chapati and roll it tightly.
