Mushroom cutlet is a popular vegetarian snack made with finely chopped mushrooms, boiled potatoes, tomatoes and aromatic spices. Crispy on the outside and soft inside, this easy mushroom cutlet recipe is perfect for tea time, evening snacks, or as a simple party appetiser.
Ingredients for Mushroom Cutlet:
- Potato – Two
- Oil – Two big spoons
- Onion – Two, chopped
- Chilli powder – One and a half small spoons
- Coriander powder – Half a small spoon
Cumin powder – Half a small spoon
Pepper powder – Half a small spoon
Salt – As needed
Tomato chopped – Half cup - Mushroom – 250 g, chopped
- Garam masala powder – One and a half small spoons
Bread crumbs – Four and a half small spoons - Rice flour – As needed
- Oil – As needed for frying
How to prepare Mushroom Cutlet?
- Boil the potatoes and mash them.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions on medium flame.
- Add the fourth set of ingredients and sauté. Cook for two minutes until the tomatoes turn soft.
- Add the mushrooms and sauté, cooking for four to five minutes until the water evaporates.
- Add the mushroom mixture to the mashed potatoes. Add garam masala powder and bread crumbs and mix well.
- Make equal-sized balls, shape into cutlets, and coat with rice flour.
- Deep fry these cutlets in hot oil until golden brown.
