Mathanga Ada (Pumpkin Ada)

Ingredients for Mathanga Ada (Pumpkin Ada):

1. Pumpkin – 1.5 cups
2. Rice flour – ½ cup
   Coconut scrapped – 1 cup
   Sugar – 8 big spoons
   Cumin powder – 1 small spoon
   Cardamom powder – ½ small spoon
   Salt & water – As required
3. Banana leaf – To make ada

How to prepare Mathanga Ada (Pumpkin Ada)?

  1. Cut pumpkin to pieces and cook in cooker.
  2. Smash cooked pumpkin using a spatula and then mix well with ingredients no: 2.
  3. Then make small balls from it.
  4. Spread each ball on small bits of banana leaf and cook in steam using a steamer.
