
Ingredients for Kumbil Ada:
- Wheat flour – 200 gm
Jaggery scraped – 150 gm
Coconut scraped – ½ cup
Cardamom powder – 1 small spoon
Cumin powder – ¼ small spoon
Ghee – 2 small spoons
Salt – A pinch - Bay leaf (Vayana Ila) or banana leaf – As required
How to prepare Kumbil Ada?
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and prepare the batter.
- Take bay leaf (Vayana Ila) or banana leaf and prepare cone shapes with a tail (Kumbil shapes).
- Take a ball of batter and place it inside the cone-shaped structures.
- Fold the tail portion to completely wrap the batter and give it a perfect triangle shape (as shown in the figure).
- Steam cook the adas in a steamer for 15 minutes.
