Chilli Con Carne recipe

Ingredients for Chilli Con Carne:

1. Rajma (Kidney beans) – 50 grams

2. Minced meat – 200 grams

3. Tomato – 200 grams

4. Oil – 2 big spoons

5. Onion – 1, chopped fine

    Garlic chopped – 1 small spoon

    Red chillies – 2, broken into 2 halves

6. Maida – 1 big spoon

7. Tomato sauce – Quarter cup

8. Salt – For taste

    Cumin powder – 2 small spoons

How to prepare Chilli Con Carne?

1. Soak rajma (Kidney beans) overnight, and the next day cook it in a pressure cooker, adding sufficient salt and water.

2. Cook minced meat in a pressure cooker adding sufficient salt and water.

3. Cook it for 1 whistle, and when it cools, strain the meat from the stock. Keep both separate.

4. Put tomatoes in boiling water and then in cool water.

5. Remove the skin of the tomatoes and make a fine paste.

6. Heat oil and saute ingredients five.

7. When the raw smell of onion goes out, and it’s fried, add minced meat.

8. Continue frying until it turns brown.

9. Sprinkle a big spoonful of maida and mix it well.

10. Add tomato paste, followed by tomato sauce and stir the contents.

11. Add the stock and boil it for 2 minutes on a low flame.

12. Add cooked rajma and ingredients 8, mix well and cook for a few minutes till it’s done.

Note: You can serve it as a full meal or a curry/side dish. You can also substitute meat with paneer or vegetables.
