Chakka Appam (Jackfruit Appam)
Ingredients for Chakka Appam (Jackfruit Appam):
1. Sugar – ½ cup
Water – As required
2. Maida – 1 cup
Rice flour – ¼ cup
Salt – A pinch
Cardamom powder – ½ small spoon
Baking powder – ½ small spoon
3. Jackfruit cleaned, after removing seeds – As needed
4. Oil – For frying
How to prepare Chakka Appam (Jackfruit Appam)?
1. Pour water upto sugar level in a saucepan and melt it. Prepare sugar solution.
2. Add ingredients no: 2 to this sugar solution and prepare batter. Avoid formation of lumps.
3. Tear jackfruit into pieces.
4. Dip each jackfruit in the batter and deep fry in hot oil.
