Bread and Butter Pudding
Ingredients for Bread and Butter Pudding:
1. One day old bread, cut into small square pieces – One cup
2. Cold milk – As required
3. Sugar – 4 big spoons
Butter taken from fridge and grated – 4 big spoons
Raisins – 4 big spoons
Cashews- 4 big spoons
Nutmeg powder – A pinch
4. Egg – 1, beaten
5. Sugar powdered – To decorate
How to prepare Bread and Butter Pudding?
1. Take bread pieces in a bowl. Pour milk and sock for 30 minutes.
2. Strain it and squeeze the bread.
3. Smash it using a fork. There should not be any lumps.
4. Keep the remaining milk aside.
5. Add ingredients 3 to bread and mix well.
6. Add beaten egg and mix again.
7. Add that kept milk to this mixture till it gets a consistency, enough to pour as batter.
8. Grease a mould and steam cook for 45 minutes.
9. Allow it to cool and put upside down.
10. Sprinkle powdered sugar on its top and serve with custard or ice cream.
