Bhama Arun is an upcoming actress associated with Malayalam cinema. She is best known for her appearance in Mammootty starrer, Bazooka released in 2025. She played the unforgettable role of SI Saniya, in an action avatar in the movie. In Madanolsavam, she appeared in lead role opposite Suraj Venjaramoodu, where Bhama played a girl with traditional looks. She was seen in the 2025 Asif Ali starrer thriller, Rekhachithram too.
Her childhood days were spent in Dubai
Bhama Arun was born on 03 December 1998. Her family has roots in Kannur. But her family was settled in Saudi Arabia, where she spent her early days. Her father Arun runs a business in Saudi. Her mother’s name is Leela. She has a brother, Vishakh and a sister, Gaadha, a dentist.
Bhama Arun played a traditional girl in her debut flick.
During school days, she used to think like, ‘If I become a film star, it’s nice’. She started modelling in 2018, and remained active in the entertainment industry. She started looking for chances in movies as well. Though she did several auditions, it took a long time to get her first offer from films. Her family always supported her to pursue her dreams.
She made brief appearance in School Diary and Kalikoottukar, before Madanolsavam happened. She completed her graduation in Business Administration from Calicut University. She was doing first year MBA when she got the first offer through Madanolsavam (2023).
As she was so much interested in joining films, she couldn’t reject the role. She played the lead role of Alice in the film, directed by Sudheesh Gopinath. The movie starring experienced actors like Suraj Venjaramoodu and Babu Antony received favourable reviews from critics. However the movie was not a commercial success. She played the role of the widow, whom Suraj’s character marries. Her character was impressive.
Bhama Arun got noticed through Bazooka released in 2025
Teaser of her debut film Madanolsavam came out exactly the same day when Bazooka was announced. Her second film also had a ‘Mammootty’ connection – Rekhachithram (2025). Bazooka had its theatre release the same year. Bhama did entirely three different roles in the career, and has already signed her 4th project – A feel good romantic film, whose title is yet to be revealed.
