Baljit Singh Deo – Punjabi Film and Music Video Director

Baljit Singh Deo is a Punjabi director, best known for directing music videos. He has also directed films and has passion of photography. As a film director, Mirza The Untold Story is his major work which received a nomination at PTC Punjabi Film Award for Best Director in 2012. Faraar, Manje Bistre 2 ,Jag Jeondeyan De Mele, Hero Naam Yaad Rakhi etc are a few more releases. Deo is credited to many hit Punjabi music videos, and he has shot videos for Harbhajan Mann, Gurdas Mann, Jazzy B, Amrinder Gill and many other artists.

Baljit Singh Deo was born in Jalandhar, Punjab. Most of his childhood days were spent in England, where he completed his school education, followed by Engineering in Microelectronics. After studies he worked in corporate world for a few years working with different companies. However his passion in photography and entertainment prompted him to quit his job and embark on a new path of his own.

Initially he was into photography and also started a studio – Deo Studios. Later he started shooting music videos, followed by Punjabi films. He marked his directorial debut in 2009 with the movie – Jag Jeondeyan De Mele starring Harbhajan Mann and has completed one decade in the industry. Right from his debut film, he owns many hit films and music videos to his credit. Huthiyar of Gippy Grewal, Dildarian and Tere Bina of Amrinder Gill and Punjabi Clap of Sukshinder Shinda are a few to mention.
