Sweet Ada
Ingredients for Sweet Ada:
1. Maida – 1½ cups
Salt, Water – As required
2. Chana dal (Bengal gram) – 50g
3. Ghee – 1 tbsp
4. Sugar – ¾ cup
Coconut – ¼ of one, grated
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
5. Oil – As required
How to prepare Sweet Ada?
1. Mix maida, salt, and enough water to knead the dough similar to poori dough.
2. Cook chana dal in a pressure cooker with water until two whistles. Once the steam releases, drain the water and set it aside.
3. Heat ghee in a pan, add the cooked chana dal along with the fourth set of ingredients, sauté on low flame, and remove from heat. This is the filling.
4. Roll the kneaded dough into poori-sized circles, place some filling in each one, fold over, seal the edges, and set aside.
5. Fry in hot oil until golden and crisp.
